Haoyu Yan

I’m Haoyu Yan, an international student from China. I went to Harrisburg Academy in PA for three years. During the years, Ms. Terry had been my coordinator. She is a really kind lady and a nice friend, as well as a responsible and understanding adult. Though she lives far from my house, she drives for more than two hours every month to visit me and make sure everything is alright. She is positive and humorous, and puts real effort in caring about the students. Personally, I’ve learned a lot from her during this three years, like what is true emphathy, respect, and responsibility. I appreciate all she did not just for me, but for all the international students that came to her along the way, for she has always kept a warm heart to us and been enthusiastic to help.
