During our summer camp experience, I was surprised by Terry’s commitment to work.  As a Chinese student group, the 12-hour time difference did not affect the needs of students and parents in China, especially the American time traveling during the day.  During the day in China, the Chinese parents were keen to learn about their child’s daily schedule in the US.  Terry was very prompt and patient in giving me a picture of the Chinese students she had taken, even though it was taken 1-2 AM USA time.

In terms of program planning, Terry made as many trips as possible for the students during the limited travel time to keep them fully productive.  For the teachers who lead the team, Terry always made me understand what the students want, and tried to meet their needs, so that they would have a great school experience.  This made for a very special and memorable trip of a lifetime for many students after coming back to China.

Terry arranged a family home for each student to suit their needs which has made many of these students stay in touch with her and the host families.  This enabled them to become good friends with their parents in the family home after they returned to China.

Terry’s conscientious and friendly attitude is something I should learn from in my future career.  I look forward to working with Terry again in the future!
